At the beginning of 2024, we thought that we would like to test how an own-bred and owned dog can participate in the highest quality competition of corgis: in the USA show rings. The thought was followed by...
We entrusted Waikiki to the care of a professional handler in February 2024 in Dallas, and to our greatest surprise, he fulfilled the conditions of the USA AKC CHAMPION title in less than 1 month. In addition to 8 WINNERS DOG and 5 BEST OF WINNERS titles, he also won 2 BOB (Best of Breed) and GROUP 3 titles.
We weren't prepared to go for him so quickly, so we decided to continue...
In less than another 2 months, he became USA GRAND CHAMPION, with 4 BOB, 8 BOS, GROUP 4 and Select Dog titles, and was enriched with the AWARD OF MERIT title at the Gaitway Pembroke Corgi Specialty.
After 4 months of exhibition, he was ranked as the 35th TOP PEMBROKE of the USA! We were extremely proud!
We felt that his results were very good in a very short time, so we decided he should stay for a bit more and in another 2 months he became AMERICAN BRONZE GRAND CHAMPION and by August he was in the 20th TOP PEMBROKE place on the USA TOP ranking list! An amazing result for a European dog! The American Kennel Club honored us for our exceptional results and we received the AKC Bronze plaque.
We brought Waikiki home in September 2024 and she happily lives her everyday life with us.
